Decisions....
OK, i have a slight dilemma. I own 2 amazingly wonderful sewing/embroidery machines. They both are still running beautifully. The dilemma is that I mostly use one for regular sewing and the other for embroidery. I have many accessories for both (I'm sure y'all know that already) I am debating trading in one of them for a regular non-embroidery machine. If I do this, I will probably lose some of the trade-offs of the capabilities that each machine has to offer. However, I really don't embroider on one, so while it has some amazing possibilities, I have not been utilizing it. Another aspect of my dilemma is that my life has been so unstable for the past 2 years that I am sure it is the cause of some of the machines uses to go unused. However, as of July 1st, I moved into a great apartment with a really cute space. I have so many projects I want to do! I am not planning to move for at least 3 years, but reality of it is that I will probably be here until Jared graduates.
The specifics....
One is a Bernina mostly used for embroidery; mostly because I have the software and can send the designs directly to the machine. Many feet and attachments....
The other is the Viking Designer 1. Many feet; and embroidery attachments. Probably less than one hour of embroidery time :( I think I can only use purchased designs that come on floppy; which is nearly non-existent now and would be expensive bought through the dealers, but less on ebay.
Neither of these machines are going for very large amounts on Ebay that I can see....most machines don't even have bids on them.
Please give me your thoughts, pro's and con's.
Thanks immensely!
Nicole

Why not keep both machines and see how it goes. They are working for you. You won't get much for the machine you sell and you will have to spend money to get a new machine. Pixie

Why do you want another machine? Is it just that you don't feel like you need two embroidery machines? Or is there something you want that yours can't do?

I don't necessarily want a new machine or a different one. I am more caught up in the fact that I never use the embroidery on the d1. I would like to, but don't really have the proper ability to get the designs to the machine. Since I primarily piece and construct with it, I was thinking I would just trade it in for a non embroidery machine. Since out seems that the selling rate on ebay isn't too good, I am sure I wil just keep doing what I am.
